Saba University School of Medicine (SUSOM) has established a partnership with Clinic 207, which will create a new Family Medicine elective rotation option in Ottawa, ON, Canada, for MD program participants.
This partnership further demonstrates our commitment to providing diverse, effective clinical experiences and fostering success in medical education.
“We are delighted to welcome Clinic 207 as our newest Family Medicine elective site in Canada,” said Chuck Furey, Vice President of Business Development, Government Relations and Canadian Admissions for SUSOM. “This partnership not only strengthens our presence in Ottawa but also provides our students with invaluable hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary clinical setting.”
Through this collaboration, students will gain exposure to a broad spectrum of family medicine practical training, including preventive care, chronic disease management, acute care and patient counseling. They will also benefit from Ottawa’s vibrant healthcare community and diverse patient population, enhancing both their clinical skills and cultural understanding.
Excitingly, the dedicated team of family physicians at Clinic 207 will offer hands-on training and mentorship to students from Saba University School of Medicine, as well as our fellow GUS Medical & Veterinary Schools institutions, Medical University of the Americas and St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine.
With the addition of this new site, the SUSOM MD program now offers 10 elective rotation site options across Canada.
