Another Saba student helping out during a time of crisis

Ahmed matched in Emergency Medicine, and brings a decade of professional experience as an EMT for New York’s largest health system.

Saba student Ahmed

Ahmed, recently matched Saba student (Emergency Medicine, Brookdale Hospital) shares the following,”Similar to many of my peers, I had a career before I attended Saba. In the last decade, I’ve worked professionally as an EMT for the largest health system in New York. I was blessed to have immense training and experience in the NYC-911 system, critical care transport, community paramedicine, and HAZMAT response, especially during the Ebola outbreak. I maintained my credentials throughout medical school due to my passion for emergency medicine and my dedication to maintaining the best pre-hospital patient care. As medical school comes to a close and with NY being hit the hardest by COVID-19, I’ve reached out to my previous employer in picking up hours in the greater NYC area to assist on the frontlines until residency begins in July.
