Saba's Medical Program spans ten transformative semesters. Anchoring this journey is the bedrock of medical education—twenty months of basic science education on our Saba campus. Your basic science preparation culminates with a pivotal milestone: the USMLE Step 1 exam, a cornerstone of your licensing journey. Our dedicated team of educators collaborates with you to map out a tailored academic strategy, priming you for success on this crucial assessment. After your time on the island, you will return to the U.S. or Canada for 72 weeks of immersive clinical rotations. These rotations occur at teaching hospitals, forming a dynamic bridge between knowledge and real-world application.

The Pre-Medical Master’s Program is an accelerated medical education program for career changers -- those who have an undergraduate degree in something other than the typical pre-med majors. After successfully completing this 2-semester, 8-month program offered by Medical University of the Americas, students will be eligible for admission to Saba University School of Medicine’s medical program and will be awarded a Master’s Degree in Biological Science from Medical University of the Americas.
