Mary Hanna recently matched into Internal Medicine at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
"After 6 years of working in research as a lab tech, I knew I needed to be a medical doctor in order to have a fulfilling life. A friend of mine was a successful Saba graduate, so I followed suit, and have been enjoying the journey to M.D. ever since. It was a dream of mine to come back to Brooklyn, New York for my medical training, and serve my own community through medicine. Happily, I matched at my #1 choice for residency, which was also the same hospital I volunteered at as an undergraduate student, and the same hospital that my family trusts with our health care needs. My journey came full circle on match day, and I'll be forever grateful to Saba for giving me the tools I needed to succeed, and the opportunity to make my dreams come true.
